Why gases are less dense than solids and liquids

because gases are loosely bounded, so it is less dense

Because they have loosely bounded particles and large intermolecular spaces thats why they r less dense. Wheras solids have tightly packed partice with almost neglible intermolecular spaces.Same in the case of liquid although it has more intermolecular spaces than solids bt less than water so both solid and water r denser than gases.
