Why gases can be liquefied by applying pressure and lowering temperature ?
Ans. Gases can be liquefied by applying pressure and lowering temperature because they have a huge interparticle distance and the particles of gases are very far from each other. Thus, when pressure is applied and temperature is lowered the particles of gases come closer and develop some interparticle force and get converted to liquid........
