Gold does not react with air and water because gold is least reactive in the reactivity series. Also silver and platinum does not react with air and water easily as they are at the bottom of the reactivity series. But gold can react with aqua-regia.
In aqua Regia any metel get melt
yes gold can melt in aqua- regia solution because aqua -regia is a solution having concentrate HCl and concentrated HNo3 in the ratio of 3:1
