Proteins arrive in vesicles following their assembly in the endoplasmic reticulum; after processing in the Golgi apparatus, they are sorted into Golgi vesicles, for secretion, storage, or transport to lysosomes. Plant cells usually contain smaller arrays of Golgi-type vesicles, called dictyosomes.
