Why H2 gas evolved when HCl reacts with Zn is passed through a soap solution (from activity 2.3) ?

When HCl (Hydro Chloric Acid) reacts with Zinc, a reaction takes place and Hydrogen gas is released.

Zn (s) + 2 H Cl (aq) ===>  ZN Cl2 (aq) + H2 (g)
