Lavinia brought the Ouija board at a cheap price from a bargain sale. She justifies her decision to buy it by telling her husband that she had brought it for him. Suppose, if he had to write a historical novel, he will not have to read thick history books. He could talk to the spirit of Napoleon or William the Conqueror, or Helen of Troy, using the Ouija board. It will also help him write his short stories.
