why halogens are the most electronegative element in the periodic table​

Answer:

Electronegativity is the tendency of an atom to attract a shared pair of electrons towards itself.

Electronegativity increases from left to right in a periodic table and from bottom to top in the periodic table.

So halogens are the most electronegative of all elements.Noble elements hardly show any such character.
