The three reasons that lead to the replacement of barter system by money are :
1. Less possibility or lack of coincidence of wants or double coincidence of wants.
2. Long trade was very expensive in barter system as goods and services were not easily mobile.
3. Money is more convenient and practical. With the increase in trade and manufacturing, it was not possible to go with barter system.
