ii. Its high grade raw material is available in close proximity.
iii. Cheap, hard and akilled labour is easily available.
iv. There is a vast growth potential in the home market.

chhotanagpur plateau region has higher concentration of iron and Steel industries because of following reasons -
1) high grade haematite ironore is easily available
2) iron ore is available at low costs from chhotanagpur plateau
3) transport facilities are available. railway network help in transport of iron ore from industries to market
4) market is available in neighboring cities.
5) cheap labour is available from adjoining states of MP, up ,Maharashtra etc
