Answer:

This is practiced in cases where the sentence is present in active voice. When a sentence is written in passive voice, the subject is being acted up on by the verb, so the subject must come after the action in the sentence.

Active Voice : Why have you bought this?

Passive Voice : Why has this been bought by you?

As we know, given sentence is in present perfect tense which is of Interrogative form. Also, the starting word is a wh-word, So to convert these type of sentences into passive voice, we use the following rule :-

Wh-word + H.V + O + been + V3 + by + S ?

Some Information :-

◉ How to convert a present perfect affirmative sentence into passive voice:

Active Voice : S + has/have + V3 + O.

Passive Voice : O + has/have + been + V3 + by + S.

Some Examples :-

  • Active : What have you done?

Passive : What has been done by you?

  • Active : Have she completed all the work?

Passive : Has all the work been completed by her?

  • Active : You have not played football yet.

Passive : Football has not been played by you yet.
