Why helium is used in balloons in place of hydrogen?

Helium and hydrogen can be used in balloons but it is safer to use helium as it can help in keeping the balloon afloat and cause no harm while on the other hand hydrogen can become explosive though it is satisfying all conditions as helium does but It is dangerous hence on helium balloons are used.
