In this case the hot bags are not recommended by the doctors because firstly it will be non-effective for the paralytic patients and secondly long time exposure to the warmth of hot bag can also increase the nerve or muscle damages.

Because of high blood pressure (BP) and some accidents, most of the peoples are affected by paralysis. Because of this, they will face complete or partial deactivation of their muscles and nerves. They can’t move their body parts because of paralysis and they don’t feel any type of sensation.
So they can’t sense whether it is hot water or cold water. So hot water bag should not be used for paralytic patients.
