why hydrogen is placed along with metals in reactivity series

Hydrogen is included in the reactivity series of metals because it's property of electroposivity (i.e losing electron to form positive ion) is similar to that of metals, thats why we can relate it with metals.

hydrogen tends to give electron during a chemical process so it can be a metal but it posses some properties of non-metal therefore no fixed position is given to hydrogen
