Why ideality factor increase and barrier height decreases with temperature?

As the temperature increases, the electrons are able to surmount regions including high barrier heights. Therefore, effect of the barrier height inhomogeneties on I-V characteristic loses its importance and ideality factor and zerobias height values show very little fluctuations at high temperatures [
