why in eukaryotic mitochondria ribosomes have 70s subunits​ why not 80s​

The eukaryotic ribosomes have 70S subunits as they are made up of ribonucleoproteins in the ratio of 60:40 RNA : PROTEIN.

70S ribosomes consist of:

30S smaller subunit - 21 protein molecules and 16 S rRNA.

50S larger subunits - 34 proteins molecules and 23S and 5 S rRNA.

Prokaryotes have 70S ribosomes, singly made of a 30S and a 50S subunit. While the Eukaryotes have 80S ribosomes, singly made of a 40S and 60S subunit. 70S Ribosomes are relatively smaller than 80S while the 80S Ribosomes are relatively bigger than 70S ribosomes.
