why in oersted experiment, when we have passed current from north to south direction, the compass needle deflects towards east direction ?

Conclusion: The deflection of compass needle, whenever there is current in the wire shows that a current carrying wire produces a magnetic field around it. This video demonstrate the Oersted's Experiment i.e a current carrying conductor produces a magnetic field around it.
