In eukaryotes, the first amino acid in a growing polypeptide chain is Met, not fMet. The codon for both kinds of tRNAmolecules in eukaryotes is AUG, just as for prokaryotes. ... When a stop codon is encountered, the ribosome and the mRNA dissociate.
