This happens due to change is density of the medium.

According to laws of refraction

when light ray enter a denser medium from a rare medium it bend towards Normal due to change in density of medium.

hope it helps ...

Answer:

no, it's wrong according to the law of refraction the refracted ray can bend towards the normal and away the normal

because, if the light is going from rarer medium to denserr medium the light goes towards the normal and if the light ray is going to denser medium to the rarer medium the the light ray goes away the normal due to the change in speed of light from going to one medium to another
