Punjab is known as wheat bowl of India. Excuse the joke. Uttar Pradesh isn't known as the wheat bowl of India, that's Punjab which is known as the Wheat Bowl of India. Wheat is widely grown in the region of Punjab due to the suitability of conditions and this makes Punjab the wheat bowl.

But mate Punjab is the granary bowl of india and not world. It's because India isn't the granary bowl of the world.

For your information: The Prairies are known as the granaries of the world " Give reason. Scientific methods of cultivation and the use of tractors, harvesters and combines have made North America a surplus food producer. The Prairies are called the 'Granaries of the world' due to the huge production of wheat in this region.

Hope it helps you..
