With the technological inventions such as powerlooms, water wheels and especially steam engines, the rate of production increased to a substantial level. The human effort was replaced by machine age and production saw a pace it had never seen before. Goods started flooding the markets.
2. The high level of production demanded increased quantity of raw material. Also, there was a need for natural resources such as coal to run the machines.
These two factors i.e., Search for Markets and New Sources of Raw Material led the industrialized nations on a path of Imperialism and Colonisation.
