Why interflowering period is called juvenile whereas it is ghe mature phase of th plant? And if interflowering period is juvenile, flowering is reproductive, then wilting of flower is what senescence ?

The inter-flowering period represents the time period between two consecutive flowering. The plants which flower more than once , their inter-flowering period represents juvenile phase . Although they pass mature phase on flowering for the first time.In Polycarpic plants, the period between any two flowering is called Interflowering period. It should not be confused with juvenile phase since it is a part of mature phase and is also called recovery phase during which the plant prepares itself for next flowering.Mango flower after 3-6 years of sowing the seed, depending on the variety and grown conditions. Coconut takes longer time upto 7 years. The plants which flower more than once, their inter flowering period is juvenile phase
