Tincture of Iodine.

The tincture of Iodine is used as it is a solution of iodine that is very mild or weak iodine solution and is enough to be used for disinfecting  the area of the skin you carry on the the medical process by making it germ free.  

It is used as an antiseptic solution for sterilization of the skin before conducting any operations or surgery in that particular area.  in applying the solution on the skin makes it germ free and reduces the chances of any kind of infection due to presence of microorganisms before the surgery.

it includes water and ethanol  for diluting the solution of Iodine as only this amount is required and enough for treating the skin and making it free of microorganisms by killing them.
