Why is a fishing net a good comparison with the plasma membrane?

I am guessing becuse a plasma membrane is partially permeable and it alllows small soluble molecules in and so as fish nets it allows small fish to escape but the big fish remain trapped.

Integral membrane proteins enable ions and large polar molecules to pass through the membrane by passive or active transport.
