why is a pop sound produced when hydrogen gas is burnt ?

The pop sound comes from the small explosion formed by the burning of Hydrogen with oxygen. Other common gasses, such as water vapour, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide will not burn with oxygen, so will not give a pop. (..)...
