Why is a rainbow a continuous spectrum of visible light?

Visible light travels at different wavelength.Each of these wavelengths corresponds to a different colors.A continuous spectrum is the presence of all wavelengths of visible light.Hence,a continuous spectrum appear as a rainbow of all possible colors.
