If we draw rays of sunlight that reflect at 42 degrees into your eyes then those rays start to look like they form a circular arc in the sky. So the reflection gives you the shape of the rainbow, while the refraction gives you the colours of the rainbow.
Answer:
We're used to thinking of rainbows as basically two dimensional but that's an illusion caused by the lack of distance cues .The cloud of water droplets that produces the rainbow is obviously spread out in three dimensions .The geometric reflection however such that the droplets that reflects tge rainbows light toward you lie in a cone with your eyes at tge tip.The sun is low Behind you all tge sumbeams head in strikethe cloud of water droplets ahead of you and bounce back at distance of 40 degrees .
Hope it helps u sir .
