Actually, the acceleration due to gravity(g) depends on the distance from it's center of the earth. We know that g is inversely proportional to 1/r sq. so that when the distance from earth increases the acceleration due to gravity decreases as a result space the value of g is zero.so acceleration due to gravity is low in the space.
