Why is acceleration of a body not possible under the action of balanced forces

Basically..... When we same balanced forces acts on a body it means that the body is undergoing uniform motion or it's at rest.....in either cases the acceleration is zero.....
I think therefore the acceleration of a body isn't possible under action of balanced force....
