Why is acceleration of a body not possible under the action of balanced forces

Balanced forces are responsible for zero acceleration.....................,................

Becuz when forces are balanced either the body remains at rest or keep moving in with uniform velocity.............becuz there is no extra force responsible for changing the inertia if state of rest or motion respectively.... as all the forces are Balanced......
