your question might be why dont they cancel out and the net force is zero
if u apply action force on wall then a reaction force applies on you by wall
But neither wall can move nor you

Now if you are applying force on a box then it might move because the action force you have applied is acting on box and a reaction force will be acted on you but not on box. So you will feel a reaction force on you and you will get support from friction on feet to overcome this reaction force and maintain action force on box

Acceleration is produced by action and reaction pair.

According to Newton's third law of motion every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

Acceleration is the increase or change in velocity.

When force is applied on a object like for example a wall , there will be no change because we have a reaction wall pushing back.

But in some cases likewise while pushing a box it moves and produces an acceleration on the other hand it pushes us also back as reaction. So in this case but action and reaction take place.

Therefore, acceleration is produced by action and reaction pair.
