there are no such trends in India... farming need a lot of land... and the possibily reason is due to available land there

There is a lot of population outgrowth in the recent years especially in the northern part of the country .
To compensate this a very large amount of land is cleared to accommodate a massive population!
Due to this nowadays, the agriculture is being shifted towards Southern India!
