Archeology is so important because it is so relevant in our lives. I have always loved history, it has been my favorite subject since middle school, and it goes hand in hand with archeology. Without many of these things that archeologists have discovered and unearthed, our past as written by history books may be very different. Archeology also helps us to widen our understand of humans and their past interactions with objects and architecture  beyond what is simply written in the history books. It also helps describe things that happened a time long before what is described in your everyday high school history book.

Another reason archeology is so important is because we can thank archeology and people who are passionate about it for starting things such as cabinets of curiosities that ultimately have lead to modern day museums. The cabinets that collected everything from ancient arrow heads to animal heads started off as simple drawers and rooms. They gained much attention and interested many people so people started collaborating their findings and eventually it lead to huge museums being built to contain all the different findings.
