Answer:

ATP is called the energy currency of the cell, and of life, because it is the energy molecule that all cells need in order to do anything within the human body. The molecule is used like a battery within cells and allows the consumption of one of its phosphorous molecules.

ATP : Adenosine triphosphate is energy rich molecule and the energy is stored in the bonds by which phosphate groups are attached to each other.

These molecules are stored in the cells as per need.

Chemically, ATP is a triphosphate mole ule formed from adenosine ribonucleoside. It contains a nitrogenous compound-adenine. pentode sugar - ribose and three phosphate groups.

As per need, energy is derived by breaking the phosphate bond of ATP; hence ATP is called as 'energy currency's of the cell

(in short ATP is made up of nitrogenous compound which is adenine, Penrose sugar which is Ribose, and three group of phosphate.

When energy is needed, it is derived by breaking the phosphate bonds of ATP, therefore it is called as energy currency of the cell
