B-X BOND DISTANCE IN B-X 3 IS SHORTER THAN THE THEORETICALLY EXPECTED VALUE BECAUSE THIS IS DUE TO P PIE BONDING OFF COMPLETELY FILLED P ORBITALS OF HALEGON X INTO THE EMPTY P ORBITALS.
