1.Statues are kept in open environment,so corossion may take place.But is bronze is an alloy,it resists corrosion
2.To make statues we need to carv and make some minute structure,Hence the substance should be malleable.and bronze is malleable
3.Bronze is the cheapest alloy and readily available
4.Bronze is very strong,hence strengthens the statues

As the Bronze metal is harder and more malleable than copper (Cu) in Nature the statues are mostly made up of Bronze. As it is also conducts property of ductility, it can be easily shaped as a statue. For the above all reasons, Bronze is used in making statues over than copper.
