Bronze is an alloy made up of ‘copper and zinc’. Bronze has higher tensile strength than copper hence making it more rigid.

Bronze is much less reactive than copper hence the durability of the material is increased. Bronze is not a ‘good conductor’ of heat or electricity like copper hence making it a nice insulator.

Also bronze has a characteristic lustre, hence it adds a shine which increases the visual appeal of the statue.
