bécause chlorine is small in atomic size than sulphur so the force of attraction between nucleus and valence électrons is very strong so it is very easy for it to gain électron comparatively than sulphur thats why it is more electronegative

Answer:

Chlorine is in group 17 and Sulphur is in group 16 of the periodic table according to their electronic configurations and non metallic character increases across a period. Since Sulphur is placed before chlorine therefore chlorine is more electronegative.
