Do this test, take an ice and add salt toit. We observe that, it melts faster!. so, if we add salt to snow, it will help the snow to melt faster, and the snow will convert to water and it will be drained off.
When we add sugar to the water, the pressure decreases, and hence, the water stops boiling!
