why is convex mirror used as rear view mirror in vehicles ? give one more use of this mirror

Convex mirror,being a diverging mirror that forms diminished virtual image is used as a rear view mirror in vehicles to view a large area by the driver behind the vehicle.

it is used in rear view mirror bcoz it always gives erect and diminished image..

it outer part is elongated which gives wider view to the rider...

convex mirror is also used in headlights of vehicle
