Hi there!
Going up from the sea level, the atmospheric pressure starts decreasing.
So on top of a mountain the air pressure is lower than at the bottom of the mountain. As the air pressure decreases, the boiling point of water decreases and it boils at temperatures below 100 degree Celsius.
When we cook food using water on a mountain it gets cooked at temperatures lower than 100° and so it does not get cooked properly.
♦ Tip : If you use a pressure cooker, this problem will not be there.
