Why is cuboidal epithelium not found in the intestine and why instead the coulmnar epithelium is present?

columnar epithelium is present instead of cuboidal because columnar epithelium has ability to secrete the digestive juices I.e succus intericus

But my book says that cuboidal epithelium also helps in secretion and absorption.
