Why is damage to ozone layer a cause of concern?What steps are being taken to limit this damage?

ozone layer protects us from harmful radiations which are released by sun. If these radiations reach us we may concern with many skin problems. ozone helps us in this way. scientists noticed that due to the release of lots chloroflouro carbons released by AC'S , refrigerators,etc the ozone is depleting. we can limit this damage by reducing the consumption of the AC,etc
