why is damage to the ozone layer a cause for concern?What steps are being taken to limit this damage?

Bcoz if the ozone layer gets depleted it will allow the harmful violet rays to enter the atmosphere of earth which can cause skin cancer and other harmful diseases to people....
steps taken to control it are
1)use of chloroflurocarbons is stopped
2)industries should install pollution control devices
3)automobiles should use cng
