1 government is based on the will of the people dictatorship is based on the will of an individual or group and the government functions according to his wish .
2 democratic government does not look after the interests of any particular caste class or group rather it looks after the interests of all and provides equal opportunities to all for their development
dictatorship looks after the interest of a group or an individual the people cannot change dictatorship it is possible only through a revolution that the government can be changed
3 democratic government is a responsible government
dictatorship is not a responsible government the government is not answerable to the people
4 in democratic government representatives have direct relation with the people therefore they properly understand their problems and interests their properly represent the interests of the people in assembly and Parliament and always try to get the code laws passed
