why is dihydrogen not preferred in balloons these day?

Earlier.. h2 was used in balloons..but hydrogen gas was inflammable and it causer accidents...

In 1907 or whatever the date was..
An airship containing h2 burned up in paris... and then they abandoned the idea of using H2 to fill.. and used the safer alternative i.e Helium
