why is direct democracy not possible today

Direct demicracy is not possible because of the huge population...
moreover it is not possible to arrange such a huge place where people can come and vote

because in direct democracy all people have to involve in every decision so that they will have to leave their all work for this that is because indirect democracy is not best but it's better for all ...
