why is dry ice a better option for food preservation at low temperature

Dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) sublimes at -78 degree celsius, and CO2 is heavier than air. This causes drastic reduction in the availability of oxygen for micro-organisms like bacteria to survive and grow, as CO2 displaces the oxygen in the container.

Dry ice is a better option for food preservation at lower temperature than any other ice because dry ice has a very low temperature. It is not similar to the Ice made up of water .The temperature of dry ice is -71°C....
