Since, earth is the only planet in the solar system which contains water on its surface so it used know as watery planet.

OR

Earth contains 71% i.e 3/4 of the surface of the earth contains water so it is called as the watery planet.

the suface of earth is about 71% covered with water, this has given the earth the name such a blue marble and blue planet .this incunjuction with the fact that water is vital for life on earth , but especially for its dominant species , earn it the name water planet.........
