why is earth not perfectly round in shape

Hi, It is because the gravity of Earth in not much to make it all round in shape.

hhh24: There has to be a factor in play only at equator
FutureAstronomer1: And one more reason is that due to its rotation it gets flate in equator and looks like that the height of poles is less

yes , the earth is not perfectly round because as you it rotates ,it is flattened ( this balance gravity which imposes a roughly spherical shape on everything above. a certain size....
geology also ensures that the surface is uneven ,but this minor in comparison....
