The Nile flows over 6000km to get to Cairo, but without it, Egypt would most be uninhabitable. Egypt's geography is mostly desert. Without the Nile, there would be no source of water or food. It is even used for transportation and to produce electricity. At the Nile's end, the Nile Delta forms one of the biggest oases on Earth. 99% of Egypt's population lives along the Nile, the Nile Delta, or the Nile Valley. Egypt's rich history would not have been possible without the Nile.
